The Christian icon – from eikon, the Greek word for ‘image’ – has been part of liturgical worship from the beginning.
In the Incarnation, the invisible face of God becomes visible in the face of Jesus Christ. And this is the basis for all icons.
Icons draw us to God
We can grow closer to God through the rich tradition of iconography.
Icons are affirmations of the purpose of the incarnation, namely, to bring us into union with God—theosis.
For this reasons, saints throughout Church history adorned their monestary, churches, and homes with icons.

Monthly mails are sent out via untracked airmail on the 26th of each month. Please give 4 - 20 days for your mail to arrive in North America, and 2 - 4 weeks for international. Your local postal service will determine the speed. For example, Germany tends to receive the Icon Mail quicker than Texas, USA.
